UK Sera Sunday IV –  Sunday 20th September.

 

Sera Sunday 4 will take place on Sunday 20TH SEPTEMBER  2020 at Broughton Castle in Banbury, Oxfordshire, OX15 5EB.

 

Not only is this our 4th event it also marks the 30th Anniversary of the Toyota Sera. Our first event attracted 24 cars and i've been told that this was the largest single gathering of Sera's in the world outside of Japan. Obviously celebrating 30 years would be the perfect opportunity to smash that record.

 

Broughton Castle is privately owned and only opens to the public on Wednesdays and Sundays between 2pm - 5pm. However they are allowing us to hold our meeting all day. They will open the toilets and tearoom at 11am.

 

There will be a small charge of £3 per person payable on the day to Broughton Castle. (This £3 is discounted off their ticket price if any member visits the castle between 2pm and 5pm – last admission at 4.30pm.)

 

Dogs are allowed anywhere except in the Castle itself but must be kept on a lead.

 

The castle is surrounded by a moat and we will be parked with the moat and castle as a background so should make for some great photo's.

 

One of the successes from this year was the Saturday night meet for owners who were staying for the weekend or lived near by so hopefully we can arrange something similar this time.

Due to the current Coronavirus outbreak this event has been cancelled.

 

If things improve i may try to rearrange for later in the year.

Mina this year we are having a virtual show members in the UK group that intended to go to the show are sending in photos to admin and they will be posted on Sera Sunday june 28 so they can vote for their favourite, car of the show ,best wheels and best interior ,so you will still be able to see all the cars entered ,the winners of the categories will be announced later in the afternoon

Yes Mina.

As Ga Tom has said we will be posting pictures of the virtual show on Facebook. We may also look at doing a worldwide virtual show so every Sera owner in the world can post a picture of their car to celebrate 30 years of Toyota Sera.

The recent advice to limit groups to 6 people or less has meant that following discussions with the venue that that for everyones safety it is best to cancel the event.

 

Antony has made a booking for 27th June 2021 to celebrate the 31st anniversary of the Sera.

 

Thank you Antony for your hard work with this - Antony does this voluntarily.
