I'm very pleased with the result too, complete respray (outside only) for 1700 euros was a good deal, with 500 euros included for a repair on the passenger side, RHD car on german streets seemed to be a challenge for the previous owner

Just out of curiosity how did the full respray cost? I plan to also do a re-spray and body restoration but that will pretty much be the last mod I will do to my Sera

Noel, I've priced up resprays here in Sydney and ballpark prices are:
$1k to $2k for something a bit cheap and potentially nasty.
Around $3k for a good exterior respray, preferably in original colour to avoid touching door jams, boot & bonnet interiors.
For a very high quality complete colour change, $8k to $20k.

Like I said though, ballpark.

We're considering a vinyl wrap for a complete colour change. Price will be around $3k.
Complex body kits increase cost of vinyl wrap as more time is needed to cover tricky shapes.

Ok cool, thanks for that Graham

I'm definitely keeping the original colour the Silver Opal going for the black, silver and minor red theme  . Car of course has some minor scratches and dents so definitely want to get the body all restored but it's good to get an idea on the price

Of course, some people have sprayed cars in their backyard and managed a reasonably good job for a few hundred dollars of paint.

I know I could make a good mess with a few hundred $ of paint too, so this approach depends on one's bravery & skill :)

What is the story on that steering wheel? Is it custom or OEM from which Toyota?

Some MR2 (SW20) models had the same wheel as the Sera, but leather-bound.    If you can find one of those it will be an easy swap and probably not very expensive at all.
